It felt like falling in love when I completed my first training run.
After my first time, I became hooked on endurance sports. I hired an endurance coach. For years I ate a high carbohydrate, low-fat diet that is typical for endurance athletes. I trained for longer and longer distances and pushed myself to do more.
But instead of getting faster, I became slower. Instead of getting leaner, I got fatter. And instead of getting stronger, I became injured.
A friend referred me to a Naturopathic Doctor. We discovered I was suffering from full adrenal fatigue. I had years of endurance experience under my belt. That did not help me. My stressful job combined with the prior years of improper nutrition took its toll on my body. I took the advice of my Naturopath and retired my running shoes, and it was a very sad day for me.
So, I began searching for the answers… for the people, like me, that are doing “all the right things” and not seeing the results.
Almost everything I have learned was wrong. I joined Ben Greenfield’s Superhuman Coaching Program. I became a CHEK Exercise Coach and a Holistic Lifestyle Coach. I have taken what I have learned to help athletes like you.
I learned to focus on sleep, stress management, digestion. I learned about the quality of food. I was eating and type exercise combined with proper rest and recovery.
As a result, I have taken what I have learned. I have made a full recovery, laced back up my running shoes and at age 48, I’m in the best shape of my life.
